It would be a good idea using a lens with round shape bokeh during photo shooting at night. It will easily turn the street light or any kinda or lights in the back look blurry and shinning. You can even add some accessory in front of lens to get various types of bokeh, such as heart shape.

The good thing about this Canon 85mm F1.2 L II is that it has creamy looking bokeh, and it is sharp even when aperture is at F1.2. For portrait shooting, there is no doubt it is one of the best lens in canon's. However, the down side is that focus speed is really, I mean really, slow. But most of the time you dont really need a speedy focus lens during portrait shoot like this. Maybe mark III would get this issue solved one day?
